Attachment Hydraulic Problems

Problem
The front or rear attachment hydraulic
motor will not engage.
The front or rear attachment hydraulic
motor operates when it shouldn't
(engine running, PTO switch off, and
no Operator in the seat).
The front or rear attachment hydraulic
motor performs poorly.
Troubleshooting: Attachment Hydraulic Problems
Possible Cause
The Operator is not in the seat when
the traction pedal is depressed.
A mechanical problem exists with the
attachment.
An electrical problem exists in the
attachment circuit.
Rear Remote Hydraulics Kit (model
08781): The remote hydraulics valve is
stuck or damaged.
Hydraulic Switch Kit (model 08783)
Front Attachment: The front attachment
valve (SV2) or the tank valve (SV1) is
stuck or damaged.
Hydraulic Switch Kit (model 08783)
Rear Attachment: The front attachment
valve (SV3) or the tank valve (SV1) is
stuck or damaged.
The attachment gear pump or circuit
relief valve is worn or damaged.
Rear Remote Hydraulics Kit (model
08781): The remote hydraulics valve is
stuck or damaged.
Hydraulic Switch Kit (model 08783)
Front Attachment: The front attachment
valve (SV2) or the tank valve (SV1) is
stuck or damaged.
Hydraulic Switch Kit (model 08783)
Rear Attachment: The front attachment
valve (SV3) or the tank valve (SV1) is
stuck or damaged.
The attachment gear pump or circuit
relief valve is worn or damaged.

Corrective Action
Sit in the seat before engaging the PTO
switch.
Inspect the attachment assembly for
binding, wear or damage, and repair or
replace if necessary.
Refer to Troubleshooting – Electrical in
this manual.
Remove, clean, inspect and repair or
replace the valve if necessary.
Remove, clean, inspect and repair or
replace the valve if necessary.
Remove, clean, inspect and repair or
replace the valve if necessary.
Verify attachment gear pump operation;
refer to Testing the Attachment Circuit –
Attachment Gear Pump (P3) Flow and
Relief Pressure Test in the Hydraulic
System chapter of this manual.
