Note: The gear pump must be replaced as a complete assembly. Individual
gears, housings and thrust plates are not available separately. Disassemble gear
pump for cleaning, inspection and seal replacement only.
1. Plug the pump ports and clean the outside of the pump thoroughly. After
cleaning, remove plugs and drain any fluid out of the pump.
2. Make sure that the key is removed from the shaft of the drive gear.
