Removing the Gear Box Assembly (continued)
Universal Groomer (Optional): Service and Repairs
To avoid grinding the reel, do not contact the cutting edge of
any blade with the pry bar as this may damage the cutting edge
and/or cause a high blade.

Drive shaft removal tool

I.
Move the pry bar against the weld side of the reel support plate closest to
the drive shaft assembly.
J. Use the drive shaft removal tool (Toro p/n 137-0920) on the large flats of
the drive shaft assembly; refer to
K. Rest the handle of the pry bar against the front roller and turn the drive
shaft in correct direction to loosen it from the reel.
12. Tip the cutting unit back onto its rollers.
13. Clean the threads in the end of the reel shaft. A right- hand thread and
left-hand thread tap is available to clean or repair the threads if necessary:
A. 15/16–16 Right-Hand Thread – Toro p/n. 137-0926
B. 15/16–16 Left-Hand Thread – Toro p/n. 137-0927
