Power Off
TURNING POWER "ON" AND "OFF"
Turning Power "OFF"
You do not need to turn the power off unless you are trying to clear an alarm,
removing foreign substances from within the machine, or moving the machine.
Do not turn off power while using the fax machine. If you
turn off the power, you will not be able to receive faxes.
Note
Confirm that the machine is idle.

To confirm that the machine is idle, make sure one of the following
conditions exists.
[Copier mode]
The START key indicator is lit. (Initial state.)
The POWER SAVE indicator is lit. (In preheat mode and auto power
shut-off mode.) For more information, see the "POWER SAVE
MODES" section of the copier operation manual.
[Fax mode]
The display panel shows the following message (initial state).

The LINE STATUS indicator is not lit.

Turn the power switch to the "OFF" position.
If you turn the power off while the machine is in use, a misfeed may
occur. Also, settings will be lost.
