About Receiving Modes
This sections describes how to change from automatic reception mode to manual
mode, and how to change back to automatic reception mode again.
To use manual mode, you need an extension
telephone. Also, you must change the connection

setting to "ON" with a user program. (See page
Appendix-8)
The mode that you select remains in effect until you
change it again, or switch off the power.
How to set

From the fax mode initial state, press the FUNCTION
key.
FUNCTION MODE
PRESS (1-4)

Press the "1" key.
FUNCTION MODE
1=RECEIVE MODE
Instead of pressing the "1" key you can also press the left arrow key
(
) or right arrow key ( ) until the following message appears, and
then press the ENTER key.

Press the START key.
RECEIVE MODE
PRESS (1-2)
The above message displays the currently set receiving mode.
Example
RECEIVE MODE
1=AUTO
Press the number "1" or "2" key.

When selecting "1"
Automatic reception mode.
When selecting "2"
Manual reception mode.

You are finished selecting the reception mode.
