Event recorder
Signals will be generated when something are happening in the IED; they are called event
information. If wishing to record them, the user should select signals for the event recorder
function. There are 768 triggers, some of which have been set as a default, in the function.
Three categories are provided for the triggers; hence, it is possible that the user can group the
events depending on the degrees, such as errors, operations, and elements, etc. Additionally,
event detection methods are published for the user in the function, so the user can define the
event recording rules with settings. The function can recorded it in a millisecond accuracy; the
information will stay in the memory until 1024 events are recorded. After that, the oldest one
will be deleted if a new one appears.
Trigger signals
8.2.1
The event is memorized when the event recorder detects changing the trigger signal that is
connected with the logic signal; they are defined using settings [Trigger ID1] to [Trigger ID768].
Settings [End of E.Record-1] and [End of E.Record-2] are provided for grouping†; the user can
adjust the size of the 'Event Record1' group using the [End of E.Record-1]. The next 'Event
Record2' group is set with the [End of E.Record-2]. The remains are set for the 'Event Record3'
group. Remember that the [Trigger ID1] etc. are required to set together with the [Event
Name1] etc.; preferred names by the user should be less than 18 letters.
Setting [End of E.Record-1] = 256
Setting [End of E.Record-2] = 512
