Start and stop of measuring the fault duration time is processed by the logic illustrated in
Figure 8.1-1. Measuring is started and stopped by the generation of PLC connecting points
[FDT_PU_Trig] and [FDT_DO_Trig]. The "GEN TRIP" signal is assigned to [FDT_DO_Trig] as
default, and no default signal is assigned to [FDT_PU_Trig]. For this reason, in order to
measure and record the fault duration time, the user must assign any relay operation signal
to [FDT_PU_Trig], according to application of IED.
Furthermore, in consideration of the case where [FDT_PU_Trig] has been generated and
measurement has been started but [FDT_DO_Trig] is not being generated, forcibly stop to
measure is made possible. After generating of [FDT_PU_Trig], when the settling time
[F.Durat_Time] time is elapsed, the measurement is forcibly stopped.
