Start-up logic - settings
(i)
Referring to Figure 2.22-3, the ARC function is in operation when On is set for scheme switch
[ARC-EN]. Note that Off should be set for scheme switch [ARC-EN], when the ARC function is
not required.
If it is required that the ARC function be removed from service by the operation of an
external signal, the PLC connection point 'ARC-OFF' is provided so that the user can introduce
an 'Off" signal. One more external signal can place the ARC function in service using the PLC
connection point 'ARC-ON'. For example, the user may wish to select 'On' or 'Off' by pressing
buttons mounted on a relay/control panel, using these PLC connection points. Note that either
of the signals introduced at the PLC connection points overrides the selection made by the
scheme switch [ARC-EN].
