7.1.5
Cleaning
Always run the inverter in a clean status.
When cleaning the inverter, gently wipe dirty areas with a soft cloth immersed in neutral detergent or ethanol.
NOTE
• Do not use solvent, such as acetone, benzene, toluene and alcohol, as these will cause the inverter surface paint to peel
off.
• The display, etc. of the operation panel (FR-LU08) and the parameter unit (FR-PU07) are vulnerable to detergent and
alcohol. Therefore, avoid using them for cleaning.
7.1.6
Replacement of parts
The inverter consists of many electronic parts such as semiconductor devices.
The following parts may deteriorate with age because of their structures or physical characteristics, leading to reduced
performance or fault of the inverter. For preventive maintenance, the parts must be replaced periodically.
Use the life check function as a guidance of parts replacement.

Estimated lifespan for when the yearly average surrounding air temperature is 40°C. (without corrosive gas, flammable gas, oil mist, dust and dirt
etc.)
*2
Output current: 80% of the inverter rating
NOTE
• For parts replacement, contact the nearest Mitsubishi Electric FA center.
 Displaying the life of the inverter parts
The inverter diagnoses the main circuit capacitor, control circuit capacitor, cooling fan, and inrush current limit circuit by itself
and estimates their lives.
The self-diagnostic warning is output when the life span of each part is near its end. It gives an indication of replacement time.
The life warning output can be used as a guideline for life judgment.
