4.5.3.10 Replacing a VCN500

Prerequisites



Procedure
Step 1 Remove cables from the VCN500.
After removing cables, wrap exposed terminals with insulation tape and do not block cable
labels. If cable labels are blocked, cables may be connected incorrectly.
Step 2 Gently press buttons on the upper and lower mounting ears, remove the faulty VCN500 from
the cabinet.
Step 3 Place the new VCN500 with caution into the Converged Cabinet, and gently press buttons on
the upper and lower mounting ears, as shown in

Step 4 Tighten the captive screws in the ears using a Phillips screwdriver to close the mounting ear
buttons, as shown in

Recommended tools: Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver
A VCN500 needs to be replaced.
A spare VCN500 of the same model is available and functional.
