2.2.7.8 (Optional) Installing a SIM Card

Context
If a GSM modem is configured, a SIM card (GSM or WCDMA) should be installed in the
GSM modem.
The GSM modem should be removed before SIM card installation or replacement.
Otherwise, the SIM card cannot be detected or becomes invalid.
Procedure
Step 1 Pull out the GSM modem from the USB4 port on the ECC800e.
Step 2 Open the rear cover of the GSM modem, insert the SIM card into the card slot, and close the
rear cover.
Step 3 Insert the GSM modem into the USB4 port on the ECC800e.

2.2.7.9 (Optional) Installing a LAN Switch

Procedure
Step 1 (Optional) If a 24-port LAN switch is configured, an extra power module needs to be installed
onsite. Insert the power module into the power slot of the 24-port LAN switch, and tighten the
captive screws on the power module panel, as shown in
Figure 2-45 Installing the power modules for a 24-port LAN switch
Step 2 (Optional) Determine the mounting holes for the LAN switch based on the network cabinet
device layout, adjust the guide rails, and install floating nuts.

Install the SIM card, and you do not have to tailor it.
