3.2.7 (Optional) Commissioning an Infrared Remote Control
Module
3.2.7.1 Adding an Infrared Remote Control Module
Prerequisites
Context
If an infrared remote control module is replaced, you need to add the infrared remote control
module to the ECC800e WebUI.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the ECC800e WebUI as an administrator.
Step 2 Choose System Settings > Device Management.
Step 3 Choose Infrared Remote Control Module from Device type drop-down list box and select
Connect to for ECC800e. Then set device parameters, as listed in
Table 3-9 Adding infrared remote control module parameters

Step 4 Click Connect Test to check whether the infrared remote control module connects to the
ECC800e properly.

3.2.7.2 Control Function of an Infrared Remote Control Module
Prerequisites
Issue 07 (2019-12-20)
The infrared remote control module has connected to the ECC800e, and the infrared
remote control module and ECC800e are powered on.
You have obtained the IP address of the ECC800e as well as the user name and password
used for WebUI login.
If the infrared remote control module connects to the ECC800e properly, click Confirm.
If the infrared remote control module does not connect to the ECC800e properly, check
whether the cable between the infrared remote control module and the ECC800e is
connected properly, whether the infrared remote control module and ECC800e are
running properly, and whether the input parameters are the consistent with the infrared
remote control module parameters.
The infrared remote control module has connected to the ECC800e, and the infrared
remote control module and ECC800e are powered on.
