For normal transformers only one winding and the neutral point is available. This means that
only two inputs are used. Since all group connections are mandatory to be connected, the third
input needs to be connected to something, which is the GRP_OFF signal in FXDSIGN function
block.

Application
Boolean 16 to integer conversion function B16I is used to transform a set of 16 binary (logical)
signals into an integer. It can be used – for example, to connect logical output signals from a
function (like distance protection) to integer inputs from another function (like line differential
protection). B16I does not have a logical node mapping.
The Boolean 16 to integer conversion function (B16I) will transfer a combination of up to 16
binary inputs INx where 1≤x≤16 to an integer. Each INx represents a value according to the
table below from 0 to 32768. This follows the general formula: INx = 2
of all the values on the activated INx will be available on the output OUT as a sum of the values
of all the inputs INx that are activated. OUT is an integer. When all INx where 1≤x≤16 are
activated that is = Boolean 1 it corresponds to that integer 65535 is available on the output
OUT. B16I function is designed for receiving up to 16 booleans input locally. If the BLOCK input
is activated, it will freeze the output at the last value.
Values of each of the different OUTx from function block B16I for 1≤x≤16.
The sum of the value on each INx corresponds to the integer presented on the output OUT on
the function block B16I.
