Installation Problems You May Encounter
The following section covers the typical errors caused by installation mistakes.
When an instrument is powered up, it begins a self-test that includes a memory check,
interface check, and so on. If the instrument reports a self-test error, see the instrument's
manual.
Errors during the START/START.F Program
After software installation, perform the START/START.F program to verify that the
system is installed correctly. The START/START.F program has a system initialization
function and a system check function. Most installation problems are detected during the
START/START.F program.
For HP 4062UX/F System
START ERROR 0 : Not authorized to use the software.
Possible Cause
The HP 46084A ID Module is not
connected or not connected properly.
The codeword is incorrect in the
CODEWORD le.
The CODEWORD le does not exist.
START ERROR 90 : SYSCONFIG file not found.
Possible Cause
The SYSCONFIG le does not exist.
When you are using a diskless cluster
system, the SYSCONFIG le is not copied
properly.
Solution
Check and connect the ID module properly.
Check the contents of the CODEWORD le. If it
is incorrect, call the nearest HP Sales Oce.
Check that the CODEWORD le is located in
correct directory (/usr/pcs/etc).
Solution
Check that the SYSCONFIG le is located in the
correct directory (/usr/pcs/etc).
Check that the SYSCONFIG le for cnode is
properly copied. Note that the SYSCONFIG le
is CDF.
