Stabilizing the System Cabinet

After the HP 4062 system is moved to its nal location, install four antitip legs (HP part
number 04062-29001) in the system cabinet. Once installed, the antitip legs and leveling feet
stabilize and immobilize the system cabinet.
After you install the antitip legs, do not remove them unless absolutely

necessary. If the antitip legs are removed, do not extend any HP 4062
instruments from the cabinet. Failure to observe this warning can result in
serious injury to personnel and damage to equipment.
Install antitip legs as follows:
1. Remove the four antitip legs from the cabinet crate.
2. Raise the leveling feet on the antitip legs as high as possible.
3. Install two antitip legs at the lower front sides of the cabinet using four screws (HP part
number 0515-0963).
4. In the same manner, install two antitip legs at the lower rear sides of the cabinet using four
screws.
5. Lower the leveling feet until they are in contact with the oor.

Installing Power Cables

If the line voltage in your area is 100 Vac, the HP 4062 includes a 3-meter power cable. The
cable has a 30 A rating with a NEMA L5-30P plug. For Japan, however, the cable has a
NEMA L6-30P plug.
If the line voltage in your area is 120 Vac, the HP 4062 includes a 3-meter power cable. The
cable has a 30 A rating with a NEMA L5-30P plug. For Japan, however, the HP 4062F does
not include a main power cable. The customer must provide a power cable and plug that
satis es the Electrical Appliance and Material Control Low, and provides a means of earth
grounding.
When your site has a proper outlet for the HP 4062 system, insert the plug of the power cable
into the outlet, and go to the next step.
If the line voltage in your area is between 220 Vac and 240 Vac, the HP 4062 will
a main power cable. The customer must provide a power cable and plug that satis es the
local installation code safety requirements, and provides a means of earth grounding. For
Japan, however, the customer must provide a power cable and plug that satis es the Electrical
Appliance and Material Control Low. The power cable must have a 15 A rating when the
system cabinet is furnished with an emergency o unit; the power cable must have a 10 A
rating when the system cabinet is not furnished with an emergency o unit.
The following table shows the allowable diameter range of the power cable:
