None of the available features are supported unless at least one switch on the Main Site LAN supports SNMP with bridge MIB
support.
Monitoring of telephones requires at least one switch at the remote site that supports SNMP with bridge MIB support.
HUBs are never recommended for use with VoIP except to mirror a single port.
Telephones connected to a HUB cannot be discovered and therefore cannot be monitored.
The IVM should always be optimally positioned where it can monitor a majority of the telephone traffic.
Active tests can be performed only between switches that are configured to be managed by an IVM appliance. When the
Discovery process is unsuccessful, only schedule-triggered Active Tests can be performed between these switches.
