4.12 Package execution
Both files are displayed in your Web browser, although the ""*.exe"" file is displayed only after
the correct password is specified. The ""*.exe"" file must be started for display via "Execute"
or a double-click.
NOTICE
Password protection - read-protection
Password protection protects the logbook from unwanted viewing by third parties.
Note that password protection provides only basic read protection.
Because the content of logbooks does not make any claim for confidentiality, no encryption
is provided.
Project folder
When configuring, you can specify the "Storage location" and "File name" for the logbook in
the project folder on the "Finish" dialog page. This information is used as user-specified values
in the "Save project as" dialog when the package execution has completed.
If no details for "Storage location" and "File name" of the logbook are entered, the package
folder and "<package_<YYYYMMDDhhmm>" are used as storage location and file name,
respectively.
The values configured in Expert are saved in system variables Up.
$Dialog.PackageEnd.LogDir and Up.$Dialog.PackageEnd.LogName, and can be
manipulated using a script during the package runtime.
Further information can be found at System variables for the Finish dialog (Page 382) and at
DateTime>Example (Page 328).
Automatic logbook archiving
In addition to "manually saving" the logbook, the package always automatically stores the
logbook on the control.
For the PCU 50, the logbook with the name "<Package name_YYYYMMDDHHMM>"
(unprotected) or "<Package name_YYYYMMDDHHMM.htmlog.exe>" (password-protected) is
located at D$\UP and on the NCU/PPU at /card/install..
If the PCU and the NCU/PPU are involved with the package execution, the package is
automatically stored only on the PCU.
