Displaying the topology:
The following topologies are displayed:
● Exported "*.ust"
● "*.xml" created by an electrical design system
● Topology extracted from a drive archive
● Topology taken directly from a control, e.g. "*utz"
● "Siemens DQ-Topo Export" add-in from Siemens
Data Exchange "*.sdx" from EPLAN.
Import topology:
An external topology is opened write-protected and is not
imported into the actual project.
Clicking the "Display/import topology"
topology configurator imports the external topology into
the current project.
EPLAN / Siemens Data Exchange:
The import from a Siemens Data Exchange "*.sdx" file is
only available when you have installed the "EPLAN Plugin
for CMC" license in the Automation License Manager.
If the SDX file does not contain a DO list, when importing
from the Siemens Data Exchange "*.sdx" format via a di‐
alog, a prompt is made to specify an appropriate "*.uvdx"
file.
Otherwise only the component names and DO names
contained in the SDX file are imported and DO variables
generated.
When importing a topology from an SDX file, it can also
be selected whether the configured component names
should be augmented with the equipment identifier speci‐
fied for modules in EPLAN. This simplifies diagnostics on
the control.
The resulting component name corresponds to the follow‐
ing scheme:
<Equip. ID>; <Component name>
Establish a network connection from the PC by specifying
the IP address.
An archive for the control is then created and transferred
to the PC.
The archive is stored on the PC and opened there.
