Identification of the file name via screen form
A screen form to identify the file type using file names can be stored in this field.

Identification of the content based on a character string typical for the particular file type
If the file name does not provide an unambiguous identification, an identification is made based
on a character string typical for the particular file type.

When activating the content identification via
character string typical for the particular file type must be stored in this field. One regular
expression can be specified for each line.
When an appropriate regular expression is found, i.e. a defined character string was found in
the file, the comparison configuration is used.

Linked comparison configuration
This list box specifies which comparison configuration should be used when a file described
using
configurations, see Configuration (Page 99).
Note
For the user-specified configurations, the "Configuration - File identification" and the
associated "Configuration - File identification" have the same name. It is not mandatory that
the names are the same. The configuration names have no significance from a functional
perspective.
"Comment" tab
Any comments for the selected identification configuration can be saved in the "Comment" tab.

Copying from the file comparison

Contents can be copied line-by-line from the files selected for comparison. You can insert
these contents in a component, e.g. in Expert.
The lines to be copied are selected by left-clicking - keeping the <Ctrl> or <Shift> key pressed
at the same time.
