Alternatives for the language selection for the package execution
You can specify the language used in package execution in the following ways:
● Expert: "Project folder" > "Package" tab > "Language" > "Selection" (project engineer)
● Via configuration file, for command line (project engineer)
● During "Operator selection" configuration: When the package execution (operator) is started

Linking steps

Please note the following points when linking steps:
● The language selection is specified in the main project.
● The language resources of the linked steps are in a separate subproject and are also
managed in the subproject.
● The language resources for the subproject are automatically taken into the main project
during the deployment of the main project.
● The subproject has no access to the language resources of the main project.
● After relevant changes to the subproject, the main project must be redeployed.
● The main project must have access to the language resources of the subproject, i.e. any
links present there, must be accessible and terminable.

4.7.13 Conversion from projects with CMC version < version 4.8
From projects with the version "< CMC version 4.8", information texts in the form of files in
dialogs are converted in a call through the ResFile() function.
The information texts are retained. File calls are transferred in the ResFile() function.
Whereby the files in the "List of language resources" are taken into the "res" root directory
because they cannot automatically be assigned to any language.
You can assign these files later to a standard language by inserting the files via the "Export..."
context menu in a language folder, e.g. "deu", "eng".
Then remove the original files from the "res" root directory.
Information texts in plain text form are taken over unchanged during the conversion. To make
these texts language-dependent, proceed as described in Section Creation of the language
resource files (Page 352).
