Open DO
Clicking the blue plus character opens a drive object (DO).
A new dialog displays the components that belong to the DO.

The component properties are changed in the components dialog.
Components can be added and/or deleted.

DO-independent components
These components are not permanently linked with the DO.
For example, these components are not retained when components are deleted.

Preconfigured components
Preconfigured components when components are created below a DO.
These components are not permanently linked with the DO and used only together with the DO.
The preconfigured components are also automatically copied when a DO is copied.
When a module in the topology is deleted, the associated preconfigured components are not deleted.
Preconfigured components are deleted, copied and edited via the context menu in the components dialog.

Insert a new component via the drop-down list.
Select a component class via the drop-down list. A component name is created automatically.

If the checkbox is activated, this indicates that the component is used in the topology.

If the checkbox is not activated, this indicates that the component is not used in the topology.
