Execute

Execute action
The "Execute" action allows a program, command or script to be executed. For example,
software components from SIEMENS or other suppliers can be installed or special
manipulations changed in the archive or other target areas.
The following target areas are supported:
● NCU / PPU
● PCU 50
● Linux (runtime system)
● Windows (runtime system)
All the files and folders required for "execution" can be inserted as a copy or link at the
appropriate target area. When deployed, the links are canceled and the folders and files are
accepted in the component.
Target areas shown in gray do not contain any data or instructions.

Selected data areas define target areas
Which target areas are displayed depends on the data areas (archive, PCU, NCU / PPU) that
were activated for use.
The data areas are defined in the project folder in the "Package" tab (Page 137).
If a data area is deactivated subsequently, all target area nodes that cannot be hidden due to
content are shown red.
