An external microphone can be installed on the HFU-U Unit. These

instructions apply to the external microphone obtained from NEC.

The microphone has a locking mute button and a red LED indicator

that is off when the microphone is in mute.

Plug the microphone cord into the jack on the HF-R Unit.

The microphone should be one to three feet away from the multiline

terminal with the mic grate facing the user.
