If problems are manifested in the form of an unexpected alarm occurrence on the side of the
motion control (Alarm 21612 "Enable reset, cause 3 or 4"), then the following measures can
be applied in order to improve the response:
● For axes, for which motion monitoring functions have been parameterized (Safety
Integrated SPL) - or also Safety Integrated Plus) - using parameters p1226, p1227 and
p1228, the pulse inhibit (SH) can be influenced, so that no monitoring function responds
on the open-loop control side.
● For axes, which are operated without any motion monitoring functions (see Chapter "Safe
Brake Test (SBT) (Page 290)"), in order to identify early on the switching states on the NC
side. In addition, the specified parameters p1226, p1227 and p1228 can be used for
optimization.
7.1.2

Testing the switch-off signal paths

Description
The test stop is used to check the switch-off signal paths of both monitoring channels. There
is a test stop input (drive SGE). The acknowledgment is realized via the drive SGA "status
pulses cancelled".
The pulse cancellation must be simultaneously initiated through both switch-off signal paths
due to the fact that the Motor Modules and drive closed-loop control are cross-checked.
The user (machine manufacturer) must configure the execution of the test stop phase.
Note
A test stop can be simultaneously made for all axes of a drive unit.
Instant in time of the test stop
The switch-off signal paths must be tested (forced checking procedure) at a suitable instant
in time (see Chapter "Forced checking procedure (Page 82)").
Note
The machine manufacturer should define the "test switch-off signal paths" time in an
appropriate "test block".
Note
If the brake control is enabled, then when the test stop is initiated, the brake is also controlled.
