6.12 Position Adjustment

6.12.1 Overview

When an object moved up/down/right/left (in the vertical or horizontal direction) within the screen, the Position
Adjustment function detects the position of the object and moves a checker to the current position of the object.
With this feature, the PV310 computes how many pixels the object moved from the base position in the X and Y
directions and moves the object by the misalignment which is called "adjustment amount".
Finding the Position of an Object:
The position of an object is detected following the same steps used for a checker detecting the position of an
object.
Binary Edge / Gray Edge
Detects the position of an object by setting two search
areas. One search area is for detecting the horizontal
position of an object; the other search area is for the
vertical position. You can also set one of the areas
horizontally or vertically.
Different inspection conditions can be specified for each
area. (Excluding some items.)
Feature Extraction
Finds the position of an object (grayscale image: clusters
of white or black pixels) by detecting the center of gravity
of the object.
Matching
Finds the position of an image similar to the saved base
image (template) within the specified area (search area)
and detects the position of the image (x/y coordinates of
the output point). Detection procedure for the Smart
Matching function is used here.
