6.19 Rotation Adjustment (Gray Edge Horiz., Gray Edge Vert.)
6.19.1 Setting Procedure
The way of detecting edges by Areas 1 and 2 and the setting procedure for edges are the same as those used for
"Gray Edge" (see page 99.) In this section, the functional differences between Rotation Adjustment (Gray Edge
Horiz. Gray Edge Vert.) and Gray Edge and instructions for test execution are described.
Detection Position
The Rotation Adjustment (Gray Edge) function cannot set "Detection Position". The function always detects the
nearest edge from the start point.
Running a Test Using Areas 1 and 2
Before saving a base position, you can perform a test to check whether or not Areas 1 and 2 detected edges.
When a live image is currently displayed, import a new image first and begin the test. When a memory image is
displayed, run a test using the current memory image without capturing any images.
1.
Select "ROT. ADJ. (GRAY EDGE)".
2.
Press the A key while the tab or item under the tab is highlighted.
If no edge is detected, the following error code will appear in the message area.
E0044
Check to make sure that the error code above does not appear or that the edges were detected.
Different Condition for Each Area
Different condition to detect an edge can be set for area 1 and area 2. However, the following items must be set
the same.
•
Camera
•
Preprocess
•
Position Adjustment
Set the width of the Areas 1 and 2 as the same as possible.
It is advisable to minimize the width value as much as possible.
