6.6.3 Setting Procedure

1.
Proceed up to "Configure the setting for preprocessing" at the third step following section 6.2.1.
Notes on area shapes
Line Scan
Detects edges using a line. This feature
enables the PV310 to process the edges
faster than the Plane Scan function. Use the
Line Scan function mainly for detecting a
horizontal plane edge. Note that if there is a
foreign object on the lines, the PV310 may
detect it.
Plane Scan
Detects edges in the multiple lines by setting
the rectangular areas. This feature enables
the PV310 to process the edges slower than
the Line Scan function. If a foreign object is
detected in the rectangle areas, the PV310
will ignore the object and detect the edges
stably. Use the "Plane Scan" function
especially for detecting the tips of a circle or
sharp image.
2.
Set "Area Size Adj." as necessary.
The "Area Size Adj." function can expand or contract the inspection area to fit the object. Refer to page 85.
3.
Select "Direction" to press the ENTER key.
Select "Horizontal "/ "Vertical" from the submenu.
