6.13.2 Saving a Base Position

The procedures for registering the current object position as a base position are described below.
Before saving a base position, set horizontal and vertical search areas first and check to make sure that the
search areas could detect the edges of the object. When a live image is displayed, the position of the live image
is saved as a base position after capturing a new image. When a memory image is displayed, the position of the
current memory image is saved as a base position without capturing any image.
Registration Procedure
1.
Highlight the "Base Position" tab.
The cursor moves to "Base Setting".
2.
Press the ENTER key.
When the dialog message appears, choose "YES" to
continue.
If the edges are correctly detected and a base position is
registered, the following data appears.
In the Message area
Judgment: OK
Adj. X: 0.0
Adj. Y: 0.0
If the PV310 failed to detect horizontal or vertical edge, the following message appears. Check the setting
values for areas (positions of start and end points) or the inspection objects.
