6.12 Position Adjustment (Binary Edge)

6.12.1 Setting Procedure
The procedure for detecting and setting the object is almost the same procedure for "Binary Edge". (See
page 82.) In this section, the differences between Position Adjustment (Binary Edge) and Binary Edge
are described below.
Priority
The Priority function is effective if an
object moves largely either in the
vertical direction or in the horizontal
direction. When the object moves
largely in the horizontal direction, set
to "Horizontal". When it moves
largely in the vertical direction, set to
"Vertical".
Testing Horizontal /Vertical
Areas
Before registering a base position, you can perform a test to check if Horizontal/Vertical Areas can detect
an edge. When the image currently displayed is a live image, import a new image and begin to test.
When a Memory image is displayed, test with the Memory image currently displayed without importing
any images.
1.
Select "POS. ADJ. (EDGE)".
2.
Press the A key while the tab or the item is highlighted.
If no edge is detected, the following error code will appear in the message area.
E0044
Check to make sure that the error code above does not appear or that the edges are detected.
You cannot assign different memories to the horizontal and vertical areas.
Wrong example:
Horizontal area=memory 1, Vertical area=memory 2
You can assign different groups to the horizontal and vertical areas.
Correct example:
Horizontal area=group A, Vertical area=group B
