Gantry Software Updates
Procedure
1. Remove the detector top cover to access
the EDC modules. See instructions in
Chapter 6 Repair Procedures.
2. Remove the ECG cable from the ECG port
labeled A1 RS232.
3. Connect one end of the serial interface
cable to this port.
4. Connect the opposite end of the cable to
the acquisition PC's COM1 serial port.
5. Insert the software installation CD-ROM
in the acquisition PC's CD-ROM drive.
Upgrading Micro Controller Firmware
Procedure
To load micro controller firmware to the EDC
Board, you must start the Flash program. Pro-
ceed as follows:
1. In the Windows Explorer, select the folder
EDC CardioMD programming for
Module rev. 9CSY0900-A01
CD-ROM.
2. In this folder, double-click the icon
to start the Flash program.

3. Locate the Reset button and Detector se-
lect switch on the EDC board.
4. While holding the Detector select switch
towards the Reset button (momentary
switch function), press the Reset button.
Note. Ensure that the Detector Select switch is
returned to the correct position: DET 0 for
detector 1 and DET 1 for detector 2.
5. At the
FLASH_COMMAND>

If the command aborts with a timeout, check
the cable and the COM port. Alternatively, try
