Cutting Deck: Service and Repairs

1. Idler arm
2. Stop bolt
3. Carefully push down on the torsion spring end to get the spring under the
idler arm mounting plate. Then release the spring slowly to lock it in place.
4. Install the drive belt onto the pulleys.
5. If the idler arm on the right side of cutting deck was removed, check that
the clearance between the idler arm and stop bolt is 2.5 to 4.0 mm (0.100
to 0.160 inch) (Figure
Note: If necessary, adjust the location of the jam nuts on the stop bolt to
allow proper clearance.
6. Install the deck covers to the cutting deck.
7. Lower the footrest.
