Multiple Trunk Types

Description
The UNIVERGE SV9100 supports many different Trunks in the system (DID, E&M Tie Lines, Loop Start,
Ground Start, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI, and T-1 trunks). The system supports up to 400 trunks in the
expanded port package, and a maximum of 56 trunks in the basic port package.
DID
Refer to the
Direct Inward Dialing (DID)
E&M Tie Lines
E&M Tie Lines (4-Wire) can be connected to the system to provide communication between remote
systems and facilities. The system can receive and/or transmit DTMF or DP signals on E&M Tie Lines.

Ground Start Trunks

Ground Start Trunks can be connected to the system. Ground and Loop Start Trunks can be mixed in
the system per trunk. Ground Start Trunks are provided with line supervision to reduce call collisions.

Loop Start Trunks

Loop Start Trunks can be connected to the UNIVERGE SV9100 system. Loop Start is assigned per
trunk at the associated blade. Ground Start and Loop Start Trunks can be mixed in the system per trunk.

Conditions
Each GCD-4ODTA supports four 4-wire E&M Tie Lines.
Ground Start Trunks do not support Caller ID.
When adding or removing padding for trunks, use Program 14-01 for all trunks.
