General trip1 (GEN.TRIP1_CH*)

The TRC function can have General signals 'GEN.TRIP1_CH*', which are combined trip
signals coming from the DIF, EFP, COMTP and OC functions: DIF-TRIP_CH*, COM-
TRIP_CH*, EFP-TRIP_CH* and OC-TRIP_CH*.
General trip2 (GEN.TRIP2_CH*)

The General trip2 group can have per-phase signals 'CBF-RE.TRIP-A/B/C'_CH*' and zone
signals 'CBF.ZONE.TRIP_CH*:' The TRC has scheme switch [TP2-MODE] to determine a trip
mode in the signals 'CBF-RE.TRIP-A/B/C'_CH*'; hence, the user should select either single-
phase trip mode (1-Phase) or three-phase trip mode (3-Phase) or per-phase trip mode (Per-
Phase) using the switch. Table 2.7-2 illustrates the generated trip commands in TRC function
when the trip signal is provided

Note: This operation mode holds true when a trip signal per-phase is provided by the

protection function. Circuit breaker failure protection (CBF) can provide per-phase
trip signals; so the mode selection is applicable. A function, such as current
differential protection (DIF) etc., can only provide a three-phase trip command;
hence, the mode selections are not available in functions other than CBF.
Transfer trip (TR.TRIP_CH*)

The transfer trip group consists of trip signals: DIF-TR.TRIP_CH*, COM-TR.TRIP_CH*, EFP-
TR.TRIP_CH* and CBF-TR.TRIP_CH*. They are issued for tripping CBs at remote-terminals.

Figure 2.7-1 illustrates the trip commands in General trip1, General trip2, and Transfer trip
are issued in every CH. The user should connect them with the BO circuits using the BIO
settings or the PLC function.
