DIF protection scheme

Figure 2.1-10 illustrates the logics of DIFZA etc. relays and DIFCH relay. The user can set Off
for the scheme switch [DIF-EN] when wishing to block issuing trip signals. In the DIF function,
CT fail detection (CTF) and differential current monitoring (ISDV) are provided so that
blocking signals can be injected into the relay if the CTF and ISDV elements operate. The
Figure 2.1-10 also illustrates the DIF operation signals for the individual phases of the
respective zones after being rationalised using OR logic; they are sent for the TRC function via
the logics shown in Figure 2.1-11.
