The MainUnit units consist of a case, modules, and a human machine interface (HMI), whilst
the SubUnits consist of the case and modules. The structure, which is discussed earlier in
Chapter Introduction
, depends on the hardware models specified by the customer ordering.
Therefore, the user should check and confirm the actual modules with the ordering number in
advance.
(The description of the MainUnit and the SubUnit cases help to understand the IED
structure and its functions. Based on slot reference, terminal block, slot reference. VCT, CPU,
BIO modules, PWS and HMI are described sequentially in this chapter. The user is required
