Binary IO module (BIO)
Binary IO modules are provided to output/input a command for external gears. The user needs
to connect with the external ones using via IED rear terminals. Table 4.4-1 shows the number
of input and output circuits.

Note:
One of two voltages can be applied for the binary IO modules: 48Vdc (24 to

60) and 220Vdc (110 to 250). The DC voltage, supplied to the IED,
determines the selection of voltage type. Hence, the user is not allowed to
have different voltage type combination.
