Main work

Check the rear hub rubber dampers. (II p. 115)

Check the wheel bearing for damage and wear.
» If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn:
- Change the rear wheel bearing. (IS p. 107)

Remove spacer.

Clean and grease shaft seal ring Q and contact surface

of the spacer.

Insert the spacer.

Clean and grease the thread of the wheel spindle and nut

Mount the rubber damper and rear sprocket carrier in the rear wheel.
Position the rear wheel.
S The brake linings are correctly positioned.
Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible and lay the chain on the rear
sprocket.

Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with
the brake disc and there is a pressure point.
Finishing work

Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (II p. 12)

Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with the work stand. (IS p. 12)
Main work

Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order to push back the
brake piston.
