General Description
This feature allows the ATTENDANT CONSOLE [A-3] to confer privately with one party on an Attendant-
handled connection without the other party overhearing.
Operating Procedure
To speak with the called party only:
1.
Dial the desired station number.
2.
Station class/number is displayed.
3.
Wait for the party to answer.
To speak with the calling party only:
1.
Press the SRC key.
2.
Trunk group/number is displayed.
3.
Proceed with the conversation.
To return to the called party:
1.
Press the DEST key.
2.
Station class/number displayed.
To speak with both parties:
1.
Press the TALK key.
To release from the ATTENDANT CONSOLE [A-3]:
1.
Press the RLS key.
To disconnect all parties involved in a THREE-WAY CONFERENCE [T-2]:
1.
Press the DEST key.
2.
Press the CNCL key twice.
Service Conditions
1.
The ATTENDANT may go between the called/calling parties and Three-Way Conference, as
desired.
2.
If SERIAL CALL is provided, the call is split when the ATTENDANT presses the loop key to
answer a recall initiated by a station user.
3.
The SPLITTING feature is a standard Attendant feature.
4.
SPLITTING is automatic when the Attendant begins call completion or answers a recall.
5.
SPLITTING is manual when using SRC, DEST, or TALK key on the ATTENDANT CONSOLE.
6.
When in a SERIAL CALL with an outside party and LOCKOUT is not provided (optional), by
pressing the loop key, the Attendant will bridge existing connection, SPLITTING is not provided.
Interactions
1.
The ATTENDANT CONSOLE [A-3] must first be provided.
2.
If conference calling is required, THREE-WAY CALLING [T-2] must first be provided.
