20.3.2.12 Received Character Flags Register
Register Bank: 1
RXF is the Received Character Flags Register. The RXF Register contains additional
information about the character in the RXD Register. This register's contents are loaded
by the receiver simultaneously with the RXD Register.

Table 20-34. RXF Register Definitions
///
Reserved Do not modify. Read as zero.
Received Character OK Indicates that the character in RxD has no parity or
ROK
framing error. The parity error is not included in the Software Parity Mode.
Received Character Noisy Indicates that the received character was noisy
RXN
and had no identical samples for at least one of its bits.
Receive Character Parity Error Indicates that the RxD character had a parity
RPE
error. However, in Software Parity Mode, the received parity bit is held as is. For
information about the different parity modes, see Table 20-21.
Address/Control Character Marker Indicates that the character in RxD is
ACR
either a control character in Normal Mode or an address character in µLAN Mode.
BKF
Break Flag Indicates that the character is part of a break sequence.
Receive Character Framing Error Indicates that no stop bit was found for the
RFE
character in RxD. Note that a framing error is generated for the first character of
the break sequence.
Ninth Bit of Received Character The most-significant bit of the character in
RND
RxD writes into this bit. This bit is zero for characters with fewer than nine bits.
