Motor status
2.28.2
Generally, large motor current enters when the motor is started. After that, the motor current
(less than the motor rated current) enters in the situation that the motor is running normally.
MOT function judges whether the motor status is "Stop", "Start-up", or "Running" using the
motor current value and the motor start-up time.
Judgement of motor status
(i)
Usual motor status transitions mode-1 and mode-2 are shown in Figure 2.28-1 and Figure
2.28-2. In addition, the condition for motor status judgement is shown in Table 2.28-5. Mainly,
one type of motor current values† is used to judge the motor status.
†One is whether the motor current value is falling below 5% of motor rated current (5%
of [Mot-Ir]) or exceeding. The other is whether the motor current value is falling below
150% of motor rated current (150% of [Mot-Ir]) or exceeding.

‡Note: If 5% of [Mot-Ir] is less than 0.1A, the threshold value may as well be 0.1A.
§Note: The length of motor start-up time can be set with setting [T-Mot-Start].

Condition for motor status judgment
When the motor current value is falling below 5% of [Mot-Ir]‡, it is
judged motor status as "Stop"
From the time when the motor current value exceeds 5% of [Mot-Ir]
until the conditions of following [Mode-1] or [Mode-2], it is judged
motor status as "Start-up".
[Mode-1] In the mode in which the motor current value falls below
150% of [Mot-Ir] before the motor start-up time elapses, it is
until the motor start-up time§ elapses.
[Mode-2] In the mode in which the motor current value does not fall
below 150% of [Mot-Ir] even after the motor start-up time§
elapses, it is until the motor current value falls below 150%
of [Mot-Ir].
From the end of "start-up" until the motor current falls below 5% of
[Mot-Ir], it is judged motor status as "Running".
When the motor current exceeds the operating value of thermal
overload relay, it is judged motor status as "Overload".
