Adding Raman Blade to ROADM Node
In this section:
7.13.1

Provision Raman Port Connections

Perform the correct Raman fiber cabling connection as described in
Install L160 Raman
Cabling.
Note: If L160 blade is not provisioned already, in order to provision refer to
Provision L160 Tributary Blade

Provision Raman Port Connections
Prerequisites:
■ Appropriate Raman fiber-optic cable connection must be completed. For more information, refer to
Install
L160 Raman
Cabling.
■ L100 and L160 Blades must be provisioned
This procedure describes how to provision port-connection between Raman blade and L100 Blade.
Note: L100 Blade Issue 14, FC95453R11-I14, and later blade must be used with L160 Raman blade.
Step 1
Provision the edge port E1 of L100 Blade.
Note: If autoprovisioning is enabled, the E1 port is automatically provisioned.
Command:
% set eqpt shelf 1 slot 0 cardType BDL1-3R11 subslot 0 port E1 admin-status up
pluggableInterfaceType Edge num-lanes 128
Step 2
Provision the client port C1 on the Raman tributary blade.
Note: If autoprovisioning is enabled, the client port C1 is automatically provisioned.
Command:
% set eqpt shelf 101 slot 0 cardType BDL1-3M21 subslot 0 port C1 admin-status up
pluggableInterfaceType Client num-lanes 128
