Equipment Replacement
Step 11
Store the blade in ESD-protective packaging.
Note: Follow local practice/procedures for repair or replacement of equipment, as applicable.
Step 12
Before unpacking the replacement blade, inspect the shipping containers for signs of damage.
Note: Claims for shipping damage must be filed with the transportation company in accordance with their
published procedure. Contact Fujitsu Sales Representative for any shipment questions.
Step 13
Unpack and carefully remove the replacement blade from its shipping container and place it on a clean, level,
and ESD-safe surface. Use two hands as shown in the following figure to remove a blade unit from container.
Note: Leave the blade in the ESD-protective plastic bag until ready for installation.

Step 14
Inspect the equipment to ensure that it is free of any defects, damage, or other debris. If the equipment is
damaged, follow local practices/procedures for repair or replacement of the damaged unit, as applicable.
Note: Use the checklist accompanying each shipment (if applicable) to verify that all items are present with the
shipment.
Step 15
Record the serial number and issue number of the equipment in accordance with local record-keeping
procedures, if necessary.
