Optical receive power is too high.
Location Description
NEND The threshold for errored seconds has been
crossed.
Suggested Corrective Action
1. Clean the optical connectors.
2. Check the optical receive level at the input to the local
blade.
3. Clear outstanding lossOfSignal alarms to clear the PM
counts.
4. Replace the blade.
Location Description
NEND The optical receive power level is above the
threshold on one of the following ports:
■ For BDL1-3R11:
• E-SC-E1
• F-SC-E1
• LCN1...4
■ For BDL1-3B11: LCN1...4
Suggested Corrective Action
1. Verify that the appropriate transmitter is installed at
the far end.
2. Verify that the transmit output level at the far end is
within specifications.
3. Install an appropriate optical attenuator in the line at
the receiver.
