Remove Blade from Housing
Prerequisites:
■ An appropriate ESD wrist strap is worn and is properly grounded to avoid ESD damage during installation,
removal, or whenever equipment is handled.
■ All fibers have been removed from the blade.
■ PIUs have been removed from the blade.
■ Screwdriver set (including straight-slot and Phillips head)
Warning: The blade is heavy. When handling the blade, position two hands in the center at all times.
Moving or lifting the blade with one hand or without assistance (if required) may result in personal injury,
damage to the equipment, or both.
Step 1
Open the fiber restraint gates on each side of the blade.
Note: Slide the fiber restraint gate slightly inward to open the gate.
