Use the key-string command ito specify the authentication string for a key. Use
the no key-string command to remove the authentication string.
The required authentication string sent and received in packets using the routing
protocol being authenticated. The string can consist of 1 to 16 alphanumeric
characters, the first character cannot be a number.
No key chains are configured.

Routing Information Protocol (RIP) Version 2 uses key chains for authentication.
Each key can have only one key string.
