(14) Install the stainless steel pipe on the pump head. Use a
1/4-inch double-end wrench.
(15) Open the drain valve. Turn on the pump. And eliminate air
bubbles from the flow path to the drain valve. Then, fill it
with the mobile phase.
(16) Fill the plunger wash mechanism with deionized water.
When a new seal is used, fastening loosens, and leakage
may occur. In that case, tighten up again with a hex
wrench as indicated in this procedure.
