4 TRANSMISSION/ RECEPTION
4.2 Transmit Power
Conventional Group/ LTR Trunking system
In a Conventional Group and an LTR Trunking system, either "High" or "Low" can be configured for the transmission power
for each channel or GID.
For Portable, the transmission power can be changed between "High" and "Low" by selecting a channel or GID where
"High" is configured for the transmission power and doing one of the following operations.
Press the Low Transmit Power key.
Select "ON" (low power) or "OFF" (high power) after the transceiver enters Menu Mode by pressing the Menu key
and "Low Transmit Power" is selected.
With one of the operations, the transmission power of the selected channel or GID becomes "Low" by enabling Low Transmit
Power, and the transmission power of the selected channel or GID becomes "High" by disabling Low Transmit Power.
Note
The Low Transmit Power key cannot be used on a channel or GID where "Low" is configured for the transmission power.
NXDN Trunking system
In an NXDN Trunking system, "High", "Low" or "Auto" can be configured for the transmission power for each zone. If "Auto"
is configured for the transmission power, the transceiver automatically changes the transmission power either "High" or
"Low" by comparing the threshold value of signal strength level configured for Power Threshold and the current received
signal strength level.
The transmission power can be changed between "High" and "Low" with the following operations.
 Low Transmit Power (Portable only)
The transmission power can be changed between "High" and "Low" by selecting a GID where "High" is configured for
the transmission power and doing one of the following operations.
Press the Low Transmit Power key.
Select "ON" (low power) or "OFF" (high power) after the transceiver enters Menu Mode by pressing the Menu
key and "Low Transmit Power" is selected.
With one of the operations, the transmission power of the selected GID becomes "Low" by enabling Low Transmit
Power, and the transmission power of the selected GID becomes "High" by disabling Low Transmit Power.
Also, the transmission power can be changed between "Auto" and "Low" by selecting a GID where "Auto" is configured
for the transmission power and doing one of the above operations.
 High Transmit Power
The transmission power can be changed between "High" and "Low" by selecting a GID where "Low" is configured for
the transmission power and doing one of the following operations.
Press the High Transmit Power key.
Select "ON" (high power) or "OFF" (low power) after the transceiver enters Menu Mode by pressing the Menu
key and "High Transmit Power" is selected.
With one of the operations, the transmission power of the selected GID becomes "High" by enabling High Transmit
Power, and the transmission power of the selected GID becomes "Low" by disabling High Transmit Power.
Also, the transmission power can be changed between "Auto" and "High" by selecting a GID where "Auto" is configured
for the transmission power and doing one of the above operations.
Note
• The High Transmit Power key cannot be used on a GID where "High" is configured for the transmission power.
• In multiple systems, Power Threshold can be configured for each system. (Refer to
