10.1 Initiating Voice Communications (Basic Transmission and Reception)
Operating the Transceiver

Press the
Squelch Level
The current Squelch Level appears on the main display.

Press the
Up
or
Down
to change Squelch Level.
Pressing the Up key (NX-200/ NX-210/ NX-300/ NX-410/
NX-411), or pressing the [ ] key (Mobile) increases Squelch
Level.
Pressing the Down key (NX-200/ NX-210/ NX-300/ NX-410/
NX-411), or pressing the [ ] key (Mobile) decreases Squelch
Level.

Press the
Side 1
key (NX-200/ NX-210/ NX-300/ NX-410/ NX-411) or the
Squelch Level changes and then the display will restore to normal
display.
Note
• Squelch Level can be configured for a channel in an Analog Conventional system. Also, Squelch Level can be configured even for a
channel where "Mixed" is configured for Channel Type. Squelch Level 5 is configured for other channels.
• Signaling is disabled while the Squelch Level is being changed.
