SCAN
Scan is the function to search automatically whether the transceiver receives a signal on multiple channels or GIDs.
The transceiver sequentially checks for availability of signal on each channel, and the transceiver receives on the channel
where the signal is detected in a Conventional Group.
The transceiver sequentially checks for calls using a Group ID in an LTR Trunking system, and then the transceiver
receives a signal using a Group ID when the transceiver receives the call using a Group ID that can be decoded.
The transceiver sequentially checks for a call initiated using a Group ID or Unit ID in an NXDN Trunking system, and the
transceiver receives signal from an ID when the transceiver receives the call from a Group ID or Unit ID that can be
decoded.

Starting the Scan
There are two types of Scan: Manual Scan and Automatic Scan.
The transceiver can do Single Scan, Multi Scan, and List Scan in all systems. However, the transceiver cannot scan if in
an NXDN Trunking system zone, and if in a zone in a Conventional Group and LTR Trunking system.
Manual Scan
Pressing the Scan key or pressing the Menu key to enter Menu Mode and selecting the "Scan" causes the transceiver to
start the scan as configured for Scan Type. (Refer to
 Single Scan
The transceiver scans the channels or GID to be scanned in the zone selected when the scanning starts. Even if a
Priority Channel is in a zone for another Conventional Group, the transceiver will scan the Priority Channel while
scanning in a Conventional Group or LTR Trunking system.
 Multi Scan
While the transceiver is scanning in a Conventional Group or an LTR Trunking system, the transceiver scans all the
target channels or GIDs in the target zones. Also, a Priority Channel in all zones except for a zone in an NXDN
Trunking system is scanned.
While the transceiver is scanning in an NXDN Trunking System, the transceiver scans all target GIDs in the target
zones. However, the zones in a Conventional Group and LTR Trunking system are exempt.
Pressing the Scan key causes the transceiver to start the Multi Scan. If a zone in another system is selected during the
Multi Scan, the transceiver starts the scan according to the configuration for Scan Type in the selected zone.
 List Scan
If the transceiver is scanning in a Conventional Group or an LTR Trunking system, the transceiver scans all target
channels or GIDs in the zones registered in a Scan List Table. Also, even if a Priority Channel is in a zone in another
Conventional Group not configured in the Scan List Table, the Priority Channel is scanned if the transceiver scans in a
Conventional Group or an LTR Trunking system.
If the transceiver is scanning in an NXDN Trunking system, the transceiver scans all target GIDs in the zones
registered in the Scan List Table. However, the zones in a Conventional Group and LTR Trunking system are exempt.
Pressing the Scan key causes the transceiver to start the List Scan. If a zone in another system is selected during the
List Scan, the transceiver starts the scan according to the configuration for Scan Type in the selected zone.
