The transceiver enters Short Message Mode. In Short Message Mode, a
Short Message can be sent by a user directly entering a Short Message.
For an Analog Conventional system, a Short Message is sent to a Target
Fleet/ ID.
For NXDN Conventional system and NXDN Trunking system, a Short
Message is sent to a Base ID. (Refer to

Manually sends the received GPS data over-the-air from an optionally
installed GPS receiver unit to the base station via a communication port
of the transceiver.
